Job Summary:
You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of our NetSuite solution stack and select third-party applications. You will work with an agile mindset to drive rapid business improvement while enhancing our development, deployment, testing, release, and service validation practices. Your expertise in NetSuite development will be essential in addressing incidents, requirements, and projects to make a significant real-world contribution to our operations.
🔍 Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and deploy customisations, scripts and new functionality for the NetSuite solution implemented on Suitescript 1 and 2 based on evolving business needs.
- Administer, maintain, and progressively enhance the NetSuite solution stack to improve operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot application and script issues, recommending and delivering suitable solutions.
- Collaborate in defining project scopes and objectives impacting the NetSuite solution stack, working in tandem with the team to achieve project goals.
- Write and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, testing plans, and deployment procedures.
- Adopt an agile approach, utilising agile methodologies such as the Scrum framework.
- Improve the quality of delivered code by adhering to development style guides and providing recommendations to the CTO for enhancements in SDLC practices.
- Provide ongoing 2nd-level technical support.
General
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely and successful delivery of software.
- Contribute to the overall growth and development of the development team by sharing knowledge and providing constructive feedback.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software development, and make recommendations to improve processes and workflows.
- Test, debug, diagnose, and correct errors and faults within established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification.
- Write and maintain program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards.
- write, update and maintain technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures.
- Provide advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costings for recommending software purchases and upgrades.
Development
- Design, develop, test and deploy customisations, scripts and new functionality for the NetSuite solution implemented on Suitescript 1 and 2 based on evolving business needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NetSuite functionality, customizations, and integrations.
- Support Netsuite Administrators, Product Managers (BSEs) and Business Process Managers (BPEs) with integration/architecture technical advice for new system implementations and existing system improvements.
- Support Product Managers (BSEs) and/or Business Process Managers (BPEs) with planning (next steps, new features, product roadmap creation) by providing technical insights and best practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to meet system requirements, system designs, and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards.
- Ensure high code quality prior to production deployment.
- Test, debug, diagnose, and correct errors and faults within established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure integrations and applications perform to specification.
- Implement and execute automated testing in delivered software according to established protocols, standards, and guidelines.
- Write and maintain integration documentation, including technical specifications, testing plans, and deployment procedures.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, end user documentation and operational procedures.
Support
- Monitor and maintain day to day operation of the NetSuite solution customisation for business stakeholders.
- Provide support and assistance to any Kitchen Warehouse team member for any NetSuite related issues or concerns.
- Resolve all technical elements of incidents in assigned solution areas within defined SLAs.
- Create and document troubleshooting workflows and work to increase the percentage of technical issues that can be resolved by 1st level support resources.
Other
- Report to the Team Lead and and work closely with internal Tech Team and business stakeholders based in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, Australia and Philippines.
- Coordinate with worldwide third-party partners, where required, for the development and support of business solutions.
Note:
- Working at day time hours (no graveyard shifts)
- Working on only one account/customer (instead of jumping around from one to the next customer without building a long lasting relationship)
🎯 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of related experience
- Proven experience as a NetSuite Developer, with a strong understanding of NetSuite SuiteScript versions 1.0 and 2.x
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience with other scripting languages is a plus.
- Strong understanding of NetSuite’s data model, security framework and customization capabilities.
- Experience with NetSuite integrations using SuiteTalk, RESTlets and other integration methods.
- Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies, such as Scrum.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- NetSuite certifications are a plus (SuiteCloud Developer, SuiteFoundation, etc.).
- Preferably Metro Manila resident applicants.
